What should you send us?
You do not need all of these, but the more we have, the more useful our first conversation will be:
- photos of the stems, close-ups of the leaves, and a wider photo of the whole stand;
- where it is in relation to the house, other buildings, walls, paths and boundaries, and whether it is on your side, next door or both;
- whether a sale, purchase or mortgage is involved, and any deadline;
- a copy of any survey or valuation report that mentions knotweed.
Please do not cut or dig the plant to get a better photo. Disturbing it can spread it, and a photo of the plant as it is tells us more.
What happens next?
We look at what you have sent and call you back. If it does not look like knotweed, we will say so. If it does, or if we cannot be sure from photos, we arrange a survey. After the visit you get a written report, a plan with your options and a written quote. If a sale or mortgage is involved, we can explain how a management plan fits in.
